During these challenging times, the contributions of many generous donors to the Loving Lynx Emergency Fund has made a significant difference in the lives of CU Denver students. We are very grateful! Thanks to this outpouring of support from the CU Denver community, we were in a much stronger position to respond to student requests for emergency financial support, which rose sharply since the pandemic began – to more than triple those of the entire last year. Most of these requests were from students who lost jobs and were unable to pay their rent or other bills. Thank you for helping our students stay on track.

Additionally, the university created a Staff and Faculty Emergency Fund to provide support for staff and faculty at CU Denver who are experiencing a financial emergency that could adversely affect them as they serve the campus and its students. 

Lastly, the Colorado COVID Relief Fund recently awarded CU Denver Mental Health Services a $10,000 grant to help respond to the increased need for counseling services for students in light of the coronavirus pandemic. The award allows CU Denver to increase the availability of counseling appointments for students to receive systemic, strength-based, culturally responsive mental health services focused on relationship, support, growth and solutions.
