Friends and Colleagues Honor Chancellor Horrell's Retirement With Scholarship Support
The scholarship will help first-generation students succeed
Jun 30, 2020
Under Dorothy Horrell’s leadership from 2016-2020, CU Denver furthered its significance as a vital asset to the city of Denver. On the occasion of her retirement in June 2020, many colleagues and friends honored her lasting commitment to CU Denver’s students by contributing more than $65,000 to the Ted and Dorothy Horrell Endowed Scholarship. As a first-generation college graduate, Chancellor Horrell knows how life-changing scholarship support can be, which is why she and her husband, Ted, established this scholarship fund at CU Denver. Their vision is to help create a pathway for first-generation students to succeed.
If you would like to recognize Chancellor Emerita Horrell while showing your support for the students who are so close to her heart, we hope you will consider making a gift in her honor and help support scholarships for first-generation students at CU Denver.
