The Loving Lynx Student Emergency Fund has provided direct and essential support to more than 130 students since the start of the pandemic. It should come as no surprise that the university experienced a substantial increase in applications from students for this fund compared to previous years. Thanks to the generosity of our donor community, we were in a strong position to respond to these requests and help students overcome economic challenges while staying on track with their studies. 

"As you can imagine, the toll that COVID-19 has taken on our students has been profound," explains Dean of Students Brittany Bohl. "This weekend alone, we received 33 applications [for assistance from the fund]. This is more than we received in the last few years combined."

"With the hundreds of applications, we seen a wide range of requests," notes Noreen Khan from the Office of Case Management. "The predominant requests have been for rent, utility bills, and food."

Donors recognize that providing this type of support can make all the difference in our students' ability to stay focused, healthy, and on track to graduation. Thank you to all who have shown their love for our students in this way!
