Ismael Sánchez-Osorio, PhD
Dr. Sánchez-Osorio joins us as an Electronic Systems Engineer with a Ph.D. in Computer Science. His career has been defined by a passion for learning and a commitment to cross-disciplinary innovation. Ismael has explored fields as diverse as Synthetic Biology and Robotics, achieving notable milestones along the way. Among his many accomplishments, he conceptualized and led the development of the first Mexican robotic avatar system, which ranks among the top 10 most advanced in the world. This groundbreaking system allows for remote task execution via a humanoid robot that mirrors human actions and presence in real-time.
In addition to his pioneering work in robotics, Ismael specializes in designing and constructing bioreactors and automated platforms for studying and manipulating gene regulatory circuits in bacterial cells. His expertise extends to academia, where he has lectured on topics at the intersection of biology, robotics, and computer science. We are thrilled to have Ismael on board and look forward to the innovative contributions he will bring to our projects.
